Where are you located?

Baltimore Read Aloud is a pop-up and online independent bookstore.

Our pop-up is located at the Banneker-Douglass Museum in Annapolis, MD. Aligning with the recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Maryland Department of Health regarding COVID-19, Banneker-Douglass Museum is temporarily closed.

You can also find our booth at farmer's markets, special events, and conferences in the Greater Baltimore region. Aligning with COVID-19 restrictions, we have suspended attendance at events with large gatherings until March 2021. Consider subscribing to our newsletter or becoming a member of the website to receive announcements for pop-up events.

We do not have a brick and mortar location. We receive shipments and special orders at 919 W 34th Street, #50215, Baltimore, MD 21211​.

Our online store is open 24 hours. We typically process orders within 3 to 5 days of purchase.

If I find a book on your site, does that mean it's currently in stock at your store?

Not necessarily. If your order is time sensitive, please contact us to confirm availability.

I received a confirmation e-mail. Does this mean that my order is ready for delivery or has been shipped?

No. This just means that we received your order, you will be contacted when your order has shipped, will be delivered, or is ready to coordinate pick up.
When will I get my book(s)?

For in stock orders we strive to ship them within 3-5 business days and delivery time depends on the method of shipping selected. For orders with out of stock items, we will provide an estimated date of shipment.
What if I need to return something?

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express processing by Wix Payment) and PayPal and if you are shopping at a pop-up, you may pay in cash, although cashless is preferred..
How can I check the status of my order?

Yes. you can purchase a gift card here. If you have trouble redeeming a gift card, please contact us so that we can reolve the problem as quickly as possible.
